The Sri Lanka Premier League 2012 schedule has been announced and will see Basnahira Bears take on Kandurata Kites on August 11 in the first game of the tournament.

This opening day will also see a second match played between Nagenahira Nagas and Ruhuna Rhinos at the same ground, the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Sri Lanka Premier League will run through to August 31 when the final will be played in Colombo.
According to the Sri Lanka Premier League 2012 schedule, the days on which there are two matches, the first game will begin at 4 pm local time followed by the second game at 8 pm. On one-game days, the match start will be 8 pm.
There will be two matches on each of the weekend days, while August 20, 21 and 24 will also have two games apiece.
The Sri Lanka Premier League, which was originally planned for 2011, was postponed to this year. The Lankan cricketers finally signed their contracts after they were given Sri Lankan contracts earlier this week.
