Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to defend their title in IPL 2017

The tenth edition of the Indian Premier League which commences in April 2017 will see a lot of players being retained and released. Its quite obvious that the teams would like to add fresh talent to bring some much needed some flavor and bring in exciting prospect who can lead them to a title win. 

Let's start with the players starting with Rising Pune Supergiants. Rising Pune Supergiants have retained the likes of M.S Dhoni, Ajinkya Rahane, R. Ashwin, Steven Smith, Faf Du Plessis. Surprisingly, Kevin Pietersen, Ishant Sharma, Irfan Pathan, Thisara Perera, George Bailey, and Albie Morkel have been released. 

Gujarat Lions who had a great start to their IPL campaign last year have released most of the national counterparts. Ravindra Jadeja, James Faulkner, Suresh Raina, Brendon McCullum, Dwayne Bravo, Aaron Finch, Dwayne Smith and Dinesh Karthik have been retained. Dale Steyn’s release has been a surprise though given his bowling credentials. 

Kings XI Punjab retains David Miller, Glen Maxwell, Axar Patel, Shaun Marsh, Hashim Amla have been retained. Mitchell Johnson, Kyle Abbott, Farhaan Behardien have been released. 

Gautam Gambhir, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, Manish Pandey, Piyush Chawla, Robin Uthappa, Shakib Al Hasan and Yusuf Pathan have been retained by the Kolkata Knight Riders. Morne Morkel, Brad Hogg, Jason Holder have been released. 

Mumbai Indians have retained most of their squad by retained Rohit Sharma, Kieron Pollard, Lasith Malinga, Harbhajan Singh, Ambati Rayudu, Jasprit Bumrah, Lendl Simmons, Mitchell McClenaghan, Jos Butler and Tim Southee. Corey Anderson and Martin Guptill are the key players released. 

Delhi Daredevils have mostly retained a young unit. J.P Duminy, Mohammed Shami, Quinton De Kock, Zaheer Khan, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair have been retained while Imran Tahir, Nathan Coulter-Nile are the key players released. 

Royal Challengers Bangalore too have retained most of their key players. Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, Chris Gayle, Mitchell Starc, Yuzvendra Chahal, Kedar Jadhav, Shane Watson, Samuel Badree have been retained. Kane Richardson and Varun Aaron are the players released. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad, the defending champions have retained David Warner, Kane Williamson, Ashish Nehra, Yuvraj Singh and Mustafizur Rahman. Eoin Morgan and Trent Boult have been released.
